Prime Rib. It’s the most tender and juicy prime rib you will ever eat. The creamed spinach that comes with it is fantastic!
Nice to see a place with some history in San Ramon. But they have seemed to keep up with the times with a diverse menu, grey service and well- prepared dishes. Halibut with Panko crumbs was recommended and lived up. Moist, flavorful and well-presented. Caesar salad had a bit too much dressing but the flavored were fresh and acchovies a nice touch (often left off these days).
NOW IS IS OLD SCHOOL. The brass door is memories for me. it;s definitely an old school kind of restaurant that makes you think 70’s and 80’s dining out. when i did well in school my parents would take me to the brass rail and the dublin corral for dinner. well the brass door is the only place of the two still in business because it was never broke so they never had to fix it. this would be the place where i would get my steak and baked potato for doing good with the grades.these days the menu is pretty much the same but with some new additions to get up with the times. the prices are pretty good for the kind of food they offer. i have found the portions to be good and the quality is what you might expect but you always leave happy. go with the steaks, they really can’t be beat and are damn good compared to other choices in the area.
