Terrible – the menu states beans and rice, but they often are out. I’ve been there 3 times, each time they are out of beans and rice. That they are willing to provide a ‘bigger’ enchilada (which isn’t good) doesn’t make up for it -especially when what you really want… is beans and rice. the drinks are overpriced, the service is lousy and they won’t apologize if you offer something, then they deliver it … without the beans and rice.
A feast in a festive atmosphere. This place will surprise you if you judge by its location in a nondescript shopping mall. But the food’s really impressive, and the staff and comfortable room add to the enjoyment. For lunch, from a huge menu we split a ceviche and each ordered a salad entree. The ceviche was spectacular: lots of finely cut vegetables along with the seafood in a marinade I wish I could duplicate at home. I’ve never had a better ceviche anywhere. My ahi tuna salad was another pleasant surprise. The tuna came rare and tender and in great quantity on an overflowing plate. The other, a house salad, was just as good if less breathtaking.Don’t expect authenticity! There’s a Mexican theme, but–like the Carlos Santana R&B song that this small restaurant chain is named after–the execution is American. For us, it worked. Some reviews have found the service slow, but not us. It was quick, and our server Saul was upbeat and very helpful.
Ok 1-1/2 hours later we are at our table food is ordered….. hopeful that food is better than service tonight. In their defense they ran a Costco special 100 dollars in food for 50. They could have planned a little better though.05 Jan, 2014Waiting outside for a table. Waiters seem to be blind to the fact we are here 25 minutes and someone just brought chips and salsa but no offer of drinks. Should I leave now. Hungry. Hope tonights dinner is worth the wait. So far this trip I’m not impressed.29 Oct, 2013This has become our favorite go to Mexican. It can be a little noisy but it’s a great location, friendly staff and we have never been disappointed with our food. Have been several times. Not really a kid place but get a sitter and enjoy.
The brunch was delicious!
Don’t go. This Mexican place is over priced for bad quality. Seriously make a fresh tortilla if you charge 17 bucks for a dish. The flavor is bland and has no authentic spice. Save the money and don’t go. ps the service is slow and non responsive.
Great food, great service. Original style. Overall excellent.
Tasty Mexican lunch. Had chicken burrito and chopped salad lunch portions. Both were delicious. Much better than typical Mexican fare.
