This is my kind of pastrami, the kind i grew up on. It’s not like NY deli pastrami. Is it West Coast style, SoCal? I don’t know but I love it. Piles of hot pastrami fill a French roll with straight yellow mustard and pickles. It’s a great combination. Here the portions are huge. A sandwich is a meal in itself. The small fries really are enough for 2 people even without a sandwich.
I’ve never been to this place before. Today was the first time. You get an immediate whoof of pastrami sent well before you open the door to restaurant. I got a burger and fries. Fries are for at least 2 people. Burger was ok. I’ll have to try the pastrami loaded fries as I saw almost everyone sitting near me was eating this ….

Disappointed. I was so disappointed I had ordered two pastramis and a Chile fries when I received my order the fries were cold and my pastramis where not dipped.I had explained it to the cashier I was given an attitude poor customer service never again it’s not the old hat I remember I’m disappointed.
This place specializes in pastrami sandwiches. Make sure you are very hungry when you go, because the sandwiches are huge. The french fries that come with the sandwich are nothing to brag about. It is a casual place. You order at the counter and pick your food up there when your name is called.
Pastrami dip is great; wet fries, not so much. You get a huge pile of ’em with a decent amount of generic brown gravy, but the fries are mealy, undercooked, and more than a few tasted of dirt. That being said, the place is clean, the service is fast, and the food is hot. I won’t bother with the fries again, but I’m game to return and sample the bbq beef and onion rings…
The Hat.. Well lets see. I tried the Pastrami & the Rost Beef. Its what it is. nothing spectacular. Not disapointed but not going out of my way to do that again. A much better deal was the pastrami burger from carl’s..
