Great selection of Beers. Well priced food with big portions. The service was good. The rest of these words are simply to get to 140. I said all I need to say. The place is good.

This is my favorite bar in the Downtown Fullerton area. One, they have decent seating which is first come first serve so get there at a good time or keep an eye out for groups leaving. And two, everything is served in large portions for both drinks and food. I love coming in and ordering a ice cold Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. A nice big mug at a reasonable price. The music selections are great as well. I rarely order food but if I do, I’m usually with a group. It’ll take a group to finish most portions.Never have I had a bad experience here. Nothing but good brews and fun.Visit date 8/25/2014 and other visits

Disappointed with duty manager’s service. Letter sent to the owner, Hero’s Bar and Grill: August 9, 2012Mr. Jack FranklynPresident, Heroes Restaurants125 West Santa Fe AveFullerton, CA 92832Dear Mr. Franklyn-I organized a group of 12 friends from Raytheon Corporation, Fullerton, CA to have lunch at Heros Bar & Grill in Fullerton, CA at 12:00 pm on Thursday, August 9, 2012.This informal group usually has lunch at your restaurant every 2-3 months and generally rings up a bill of about $220. We think your restaurant provides great food & drink and, in the past, we have been impressed with the service. However, unfortunately, the service provided on Thursday, August 9th, left a lot to be desired.I arrived early and, as usual, contacted the manager on duty. In the past, I have explained that we had a party of about 12, and, due to the size of the party, requested that the lunch and soda orders be put on one order and that each individual ordering beer(s) be billed separately. In each case, the manager on duty has made a special effort to ensure the wait staff provided this service.Unfortunately, the duty manager on Thursday refused to bill the drinks separately. All he was willing to do was to put all the drinks together on one bill. This causes a problem, because some individuals have one beer while others may have two or more. The bar bill provides no information as to who drank how many beers. All we can do is split it up evenly. This causes a great deal of grumbling on the part of the folks who ordered only one beer.Is there anything you can do about this? Our group was very disappointed in the service provided on Thursday and we do not want to return if we have to put up with this in the future.Sincerely,Paul Jones

Bar and much more…….. Okay so this place is pretty much your typical sports bar. But don’t let that stop you from trying the food. On a recent visit- and I have been here many times, we tried an incredibly good turkey sandwich, I stayed with my usual Brisket Dip Sandwich, and daughter one had a good looking burger. As usual my brisket dip sandwich did not disappoint with a thick layer of beef brisket that had a slight smokiness, like a good brisket should. It was served the familiar Au jus, perfect for dipping. I ordered the homemade potato chips which were a fantastic change from fries or salad. The turkey sandwich was layers of turkey- on grilled bread- again with the turkey layer really thick and tasty. Heroes does such a nice job with their slice meat sandwiches – probably because they started with the Deli next door.We continue to drive 40 minutes just to go to Heroes – well worth the drive from South Orange County for filling and tasty food. Not to mention the 32 oz drinks.30 Jan, 2009Big Food and Big Beer. Large portions dominate this eatery. If you don’t get enough to eat here, you are eating too much. Start off with a bag of peanuts that you throw the shells on the floor. Soft drinks, ice tea, or beer comes in bigh 32 oz mugs. Ordering a burger- be prepared to open your mouth wide for a big bite. Lots of fries. Food is good here and atmosphere is your typical sports bar.

Heroes is the best bar in Fullerton. I have been going to Heroes for the past 10 years. Its a great place to get together with friends for drinks and lots of great food.

I had the absolute worst Turkey Sandwich at Heroes. It was completely on the Nast. But I still like to go there so it must be good!

Best Burger Ever….. I ate the best hamburger I’d ever had here at Heroes one Saturday evening in late June.As soon as we arrived, the wait staff came to our table providing us with bags of peanuts. They gave us a good amount of time to figure out what we wanted to eat and then took our order.Immediately after our waitress came to our table to take our food order, a waiter approached our table wanting to know if we were ready to order. We mentioned we just had, but asked him if he’d want to take our drink order. He gladly obliged. We asked him many different questions about the beers on tap. We asked him if he had any recommendations for us. He was able to find out our likes and provided us with alternatives to our usual brews. One of the girls ordered an ale, based on his recommendation, that really did have a banana flavor to it.For food, I ordered a blackened and bleu cheese burger with steak fries (but I had my choices of curly, steak, or potato chips). It was so thick, juicy, and full of bleu cheese crumbles. There was a lot of shredded lettuce and the spiciness of the blackened seasoning was amazing. I was in heaven!! The burger took up half my plate and the steak fries took up the other half. Literally, two people could nosh off this meal. Each of the girls’ orders were just as huge, no matter what they ate. We observed a nearby table where the people ordered appetizers overflowing on the plates. This is definitely one of those places where you get your bang for your buck. Besides, who an argue with over 100 beers on tap. Who can tell you that you don’t have any options there, right?
