All American. I stumbled across this place and once again I am in Love. Let’s eat shall we. I ordered: Pan fried Goat Cheese, a Steak Panini, and a glass of their best bubbly. The Pan Fried Goat Cheese was crusty on the outside, smooth and creamy on the inside, with a cream sauce that was out of this world. The Steak Panini was plated so perfectly with tender juicy steak,lettuce, tomato, an aioli dressing and lightly toasted bread.This was a delicious Bite. Twisted Vine is a keeper. Wine-ducation!. As a wine-lover, I would say that this is a nice quaint wine bar in the heart of Fullerton. Their wine selections and appetizers typically hit the spot and they hold customer service high on their musts. An added bonus is that they always make time to educate the wine newbies I have taken in…it becomes an educational experience (flashback to my college days). Wine, dine and learn! Its a great test actually. If the newbie isn’t able to identify at least one component in their glass of wine by the end of the night…to the chopping board they go. Next I say…NEXT!
Completely satisfying!. The concierge desk sent me from Anaheim to Fullerton when I explained the type of place I was looking for. I was so happy they did. The Twisted Vine is a gem! It is one of the few places that you come across where you feel like a regular within minutes. The staff is genuinely friendly and there is a culture in the place that you pick up on from the get go. I has the chorizo empanadas and they were great. The staff was knowledgable about wine without being presumptuous. I went back later in the week and they remembered me by name. I would live at this place if I were from the area.
Good wine & food But missing friendly atmosphere. I keep going back thinking the owner and crew have to get better at making this a friendly place. But I give up. Too bad because the wine and food are excellent.
Like the wine bar, just not the prices. Had stopped here for a glass of wine with the girls. We had been recommended this place so we thought we’d try it.The atmosphere of the wine bar is very relaxing and great for groups. There are leather couches and big comfy chairs toward the back of the bar. There’s also stools with barrel tables to sit at too.There is a wine shop section that’s somewhat small but pretty much has high end wine. Not a lot options for a wine lover who can afford no more than $20 per bottle.The wine list was really cool. The folder with the wine list was made of cork with the name of the place branded on the front. However, the individual glasses were quite pricey. Everything was at least $10 or more. Not a whole lot under that. Granted the wines they were pouring were not all that cheap either.The atmosphere is great, the option to nibble on appetizers is a nice touch, but it’s just a little too OC for me. Maybe if they weren’t trying so hard to be high class, it would work better in my opinion.
