I belived that I cannot survive without indian food out of India but this restaurant has changed my perception. To start with, ambience is OK since it is not fancy restaurant but a decent one. The owner family hosts the restaurant and they are nice.Coming to food, it’s just mind blowing. I ordered Bulani (aloo parantha kind), doogh (lassi) and lamb curry with afghani pulao. PERFECT is one word to describe lamb curry, so soft and tender despite of the big piece. Already been 3 times to this place in one week. Must try for all Indians visiting Dublin/Pleasanton area in california.
Having heard so much about this place, my husband and I visited Khyber Pass Kabob for dinner a few weeks back. The restaurant was colorful inside and our server was very pleasant and attentive. Now coming to the best part – the food.We ordered for the VEG. BOLANI to begin with and it was just amazing. The filling was flavorful and the outer layer was crisp and flaky. If only I’d known how good it was going to be, I would’ve skipped the main course and ordered more portions of just the Bolani. I got the CHICKEN KABOB for main course which was equally good. Huge chunks of chicken breast, marinated to perfection – I the dish turned out to be pretty good. But the dish that surprised me the most was the VEGETARIAN DISH. I was frankly not expecting much from the vegetarian dishes here but this dish proved me wrong. The eggplant sabzi was cooked in this really beautiful gravy served with rice and a simple yet flavorful Dal.This place is a complete value for money for the quality and quantity of food served. And I would love to go back for more.
