My cravings for Malaysian food bought me to The Banana Garden last evening. The place is big and service is quick as well. Plus we visited on a weekend, so not much rush.We started with the ROTI PRATHA which was quite nice. The Roti was paper thin, crisp and not oily unlike other restaurants. The Curry served on the side reminded me of the Chicken Curry we made at home back in India, only without the chicken. :-)Next came the VEGGIE MALAY GORENG RICE with loads of veggies and tofu. The rice was cooked perfectly and had a nice bite to it.We got the SIBU SIZZLING DELIGHT to go with the rice. Fresh veggies tossed in a spicy black pepper sauce made for just the perfect accompaniment. The dish was literally sizzling when it was served and I loved it.I wouldn’t mind going back to try other dishes on their menu.

I liked the restaurant! I hadn’t tried Malaysian food in a while so it was a wonderful feeling to ear some different food! It wasn’t amazing and the food didn’t take my breath away but it was a nice place to eat for a family night out. We tried many shrimp dishes which were nice and their pad thai was good as well. I tried their tom yum soup which was nice, not too spicy ,which is great for people with younger kids. It was really crowded as it was a weekend. They didn’t have everything they claimed to have on their menu because of the amount of people which didn’t let us try the mango juice. Maybe next time if we stop by.
