I used to love this place. Good specials. The staff is weird. Its seems that they couldn’t care less whether you were there or not. The last few times I went in everything tasted stale. And old seafood scares me so I won’t be going back again. Bummer.
Greatest Sushi Restauraunt!!. If believe you are truely a fan of Sushi.. If you really really like Sushi, then it is a must to eat here. Your life will not be complete until you eat here.Sit at the bar and let the Sushi chef take care of you. If you sit at a table you will be waited on by the staff which don’t do a great Job.. You don’t go to Azabu for the service you go for the Sushi.Order your favorite beer or sake.. and be adventurous.. All california rolls taste the same everywhere as do the catipiller rolls and the crunchy rolls.. lets get those off your list.Order, House Special, Tiger roll, Mexican Roll..Order the Sashimi Salad, deep fried shrimp, live sweet shrimp… Sue hand roll!!!!!!!!! seared scallops, Volcano Roll, Albacore sashimi, Hot Rod Roll and the list goes on. I sat on Jacks Side of the sushi bar and I asked him to make me something good with eel.. Delicious..Well I can’t say enough of this place.. make an effort and get out there.
Great Little Sushi Place. Walking around Uptown Whittier, we decided to stop in for sushi at this place. Neither of us had been here before, but it caught our eye and sort of beckoned us. Course what also helped was the busy-ness of the place too. There were only a few tables left. So we knew, this was a popular spot.As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the staff who prompted us to sit where we liked. There were 3 sushi chefs working the counter all donning blue/black/white coats and rope-like headbands. The waitress handed us menus and a pricing/ordering sheet for the sushi. Right away I knew this was going to be good. We decided to order the Brian roll (soft shell crab, shrimp, rice, and seaweed with a spicy cream sauce) and a bowl of Udon noodles. Our food was great and very filling. We especially loved the Brian roll. We definitely want to come back and try this place with a larger group to mix and share the sushi.I think a lot of regulars come here, because I could see the staff greeting people by name.
