This has to be the some of the best Thai cuisine I’ve had with a cool modern/hip spin on the dishes.First, I really like the vibe of the restaurant which had great music playing and a bar front and center upon entering. There’s also the main dining area as well as the outside patio where you can view the crowds of Uptown Whittier. For me, grabbing a seat in the bar area is always an excellent choice so I did LOL.I ordered up a beer and went straight to ordering plates. I always order both beef and chicken sate when visiting Thai restaurants so to see it in the form of a slider was quite interesting and it was awesome! Great flavor of the chicken and I cant even express how delicious the peanut sauce was. Normally, peanut sauce can be hit or miss as it can be too nutty at times but this sauce provided a sweet none over the top peanut flavor that I’d dip other foods in if given the opportunity.Next up was the naked shrimp and panang yum tang slaw. Great mixture of the fruits and veggies but what really made this dish was the spicy lime vinaigrette. Last up was the Panang filet mignon. This dish was literally a OMFG for me and that’s no exaggeration. The filet mignon chunks were tender and cooked to perfection. Now for the curry that deserves a standing ovation haha. SO MUCH FLAVOR!!! I found myself drinking the rest once the meat was finished. The curry had a coconut flavor to me although it was not in its description. Im not too big on coconut so if you can get me to rave about anything coconut then you’re doing it right. If you haven’t already guessed, I love this place and will be returning. So many other options on the menu so slowly but surely, I’ll make my way through.Visit date 9/19/2015
Wish close to my home. My friend told me about this place. So, I and my husband decided to try. It is located busy uptown Whittier. We went to inside and friendly server greeted. I was craving for phad see yew and sa Tay that I usually order at any Thai restaurant, so I did. My husband wanted to try Burmese dishes since we have never tried. The server recommended ginger salad and burmese sale fish. We ordered those plates on top of Thai dishes. To be honest, phad see yew is the best ever. I usually order with chicken, but we took server’s suggestion, we had with beef. Chicken Satay is so yummy, yet juicy, not dry at all. Ginger salad is crunchy and ginger flavor is not too strong. It quickly became my favorite salad. And honey spare ribs is the bomb! it tastes like expensive rib restaurant. You can not miss. The menu is big, so next time I go I want to try some more Burmese dishes to explore.
