An amazing, off the beaten track cafe. Delicious food, fresh ingredients and homey feel.
Delicious Food. Get here early, it fills up fast for breakfast! Very good food here. I had French Toast, eggs, bacon, orange juice, chai latte. The French toast was full of flavor, I have never had French toast like this in a long time. The orange juice was freshly squeezed, and the chai latte was awesome. The chai latte was very creamy and satisfying. Nice job Doyle’s, very good food!!
Be prepared to wait! The service is super slow but the food is excellent!!!
Favorite Local Spot. We would come here almost every week when we lived in Berkeley, now we try to make it here whenever we get back home. It’s still one of our top favorites for breakfast. The Joe’s Special when it’s available is great, otherwise it’s the chorizo scramble. They have a pretty good homefries plate with sliced avocado that’s almost just as good as Homemade Cafe. I love their corn bread too! The staff is super nice and the owner seems to remember us even if we can only make it out a couple times a year. I miss the Bay Area so much and this place is one of the many reasons why.
Their pancakes are great. I’m not as wild about some of their other breakfast dishes. The cornbread is dry and they don’t serve regular bacon. I wish their omelettes were fluffier. Salads are wonderful.
