Fancy TGI Fridays. The only reason I give it a thumbs-up is because it’s within walking distance of my house. A buffalo chicken salad for $17 is still a buffalo chicken salad. I tried a bit of everything that wasn’t more than $20… calamari ($10), coconut chicken ($12), sweet potato fries ($7), fish ‘n chips ($19) and the shrimp/palm heart/avocado salad ($18?)… all were a ho-hum experience. Maybe Monday nights are when the kitchen’s A-team is elsewhere.

Marginal thumbs up. The noted garlic fries are ok, not great. The teriyaki steak tips were unremarkable and overcooked. Service was par. Would not return and were expecting more based on the votes and reviews.

Worth a trip to the East Bay. I live in San Francisco but whenever I get a chance to come to the East Bay for dinner, my first pick is Townhouse in Emeryville. This place is a local gem with great food, drinks and a lively crowd. The ingredients are always fresh because the menu changes seasonally. The atmosphere is great for dinner with friends and family or fun for a date!

Vee. Love the Townehouse because it is local and serves great drinks. The service is pretty consistent, and the food quite tasty. Even though the menu is limited, they always have an array of specials. The menu prices have been inching up over the past few years especially for the appetizers. But overall very nice.
