Wazwan is located in a corner of the newly renovated Public Market in Emeryville. I have tried their samosas and other main course gravies and all of them tasted great. All gravies come with either naan or yellow rice, both of which are well prepared. I am particularly a fan of their garlic naan, which when eaten hot, right out of the tandoor, tastes amazing!! The portions too are big and one gravy can easily be shared between 2 persons. Good comfort food for Emeryville residents who are anyway short of good Indian restaurants in the area!
Fantastic. I didn’t eat Indian food until I went to college and my first real experience was eating at Wazwan. The friendly staff helped me decide what I might enjoy and since then I have tried everything on the menu and love all the dishes (some spicy some not). It also hit the spot for my budget, I can get out of there under $7 with a drink. Try the Vindaloo or Chicken Spinach, both great.
