Seafood with service. We are regulars at delmonico’s for holidays, special occasions or even just a very nice dinner out. the wood paneling and individual full booths gives the place a very masquline private club feel. service is exceptional. the seafood is the best i’ve had in the valley. lobster, crab, oysters, shrimps, fish. my favorite is their stuffed crab protobello mushroom appetizer. i sometimes just have that with a salad or cup of soup….not for sharing…yum! : ) oh and dont forget the garlic bread. mmmm. Their sunday brunch is excellent as well…tops any vegas buffet!jun09 – recently had the sunday brunch and the lobster is better than i remember. they now serve it 2 ways baked or broiled. yum! the prime rib was also cooked to perfection.
Very, very nice dining experience. This has become my traditional restaurant of choice when taking out folks to a special place to dine. I love that they have patio dining, too. This is not just a lobster house, and they do not just serve seafood. However, it is the best seafood restaurant that I have found in the SFV, other than King’s.They also serve steaks, chicken, veal and duck. I happen to love duck, and this is, again, the only place I know of where it is on the menu nightly. They also have the best garlic bread. I’ve been told by one of the waiters that the chef makes the bread himself. The bread is the best I’ve tasted outside of Paris: crunchy crust and chewy, soft insides. The garlic bread is very, very good; made with olive oil, herbs and cheese. Nasty stuff really, if you’re watching your carbs.I also love oysters, and theirs on the half-shell are small and delicate; not the big, chewy Pacific monsters. A friend who ordered the Oysters Rockefeller (available on Mondays) said they were the best she’s ever had. She was also enthralled with her salmon stuffed with shrimp and crab meat.In addition to the food, the waiters are marvelous. Two, that I know of, speak French, and all who have served us have good senses of humor and are very attentive to your needs. I definitely suggest you put this restaurant on your list to try the next time you are taking friends out to dinner – or even for lunch.
