Best burger I’ve had in ages. Best onion rings I have ever eaten in my near 55 years on this planet. The service was great and the food even better. What more could out-of-towners ask for???30 Jul, 2010Exceptional hamburgers and onion rings with very friendly, down-to-earth service. Breakfast is served all day.

Best Diner in Escondido!. Located off a frontage road near the confluence of Escondido Blvd, Centre City Pkwy. and I-15, you could easily zip past this restaurant on your way to somewhere else. From the road, the only remarkable thing was the mid-century modern architecture common to 1950’s era diners. And like the diners of years ago, the food is outstanding, plentiful and relatively inexpensive (most menu items are under $10). My favorites include the sirloin steak and eggs breakfast with a side order of biscuits and gravy with home fries. I also recommend the rotating lineup of early bird dinner entres complete with soup, salad, vegetable, dinner roll and loaded baked potato just like Mom used to make.
