Fast service, tasty food, great price. Stopped at this place between wedding cake tastings. Only had about 1/2 hour to eat and weren’t super hungry but needed solid food to sandwich between the cakes. Got a single taco, which was very tasty – under $7 with big tip and was out of there fast. Waitstaff was very friendly. Hope to return for a longer, bigger meal!
Good everyday Mexican food. Solid and reliable Mexican favorites priced right. Some interesting items on the menu like the Cochinita Pibil (shreded pork shoulder simmered in spicy sauce) and the Baja Burrito turned out to be pleasant surprises. Margaritas were good and made with fresh lime.
Great food consistently! I really like this place because the food is wonderful every time we go here. We recently tried the Sunday brunch on Easter and I was very impressed with the wide selection and freshness of the food. Great little restaurant with reasonable prices!
Outstanding Food and Impeccable Service. I’ve been several times to both the Escondido and San Marcos locations and these are the two finest Mexican food restaurants in San Diego; hands down! All of their food choices are delicious and well-priced, and their service is friendly and timely! From the hostesses to the management/ownership you will easily recognize the tenets of a truly well-run organization! I have so many favorite dishes it would be difficult to name one, however their carne asada plate is outstanding. Their Sunday buffett is unbelievable in both it’s quantity and quality and is well worth a try if you’re looking for a place to eat after church. After lunch or dinner you MUST try the fried ice cream dish. It is out of this world amazing! You will never forget that phenomenally exquisite taste! The entire dining experience will leave you anxious to make a return trip. Again and again and again!
Best Mexican Food Around!!. I would like to say that I think Cocina Del Charro is terrific! They have always been very customer friendly, and their food is excellent !!! There has never been a visit where I have been disappointed. If you haven’t tried their shrimp chimichangas, they are to die for. So as a local resident, I am very proud to recommend this restaurant to any person visiting our fine city. They are GREAT! Joanie Priest
