REAL shrimp burrito for an honest price of $7. This place beats any chain Mexican restaurant (I.e Rubio’s)

This shrimp burrito is my very favorite dish at this little hideaway place right in the heart of Escondido, called Mariscos El Zurdo. The Shrimp Burrito has at least 50 shrimp…I lost count…it is almost like a scampi, fresh shrimp sauteed in butter with onion, bell pepper, tomato and garlic, then wrapped in a flour tortilla, and served with tasty rice and refried beans. I like it with a cold pop or horchata. Its my guess as to the recipe…and, well, …its amazing. My hubby and I split this burrito (its too big for just one person!) probably once a week. Hope you try it out. They also make a great shrimp cocktail, ceviche, and other amazing fish entrees. This little restaurant is a fun place for those who enjoy Mariachi music, on most Friday and Saturday nights..those who want to try their talents at Karaoke Mariachi style will be in for a treat. Young ones and seniors alike relax and sing to old favorites. It is for us like a quick visit to Guatalajara without the long trip. See you there!
