Good Food Great Place. This restaurant is over the top of a Lexus dealership, you take an elevator up to the restaurant, the views at night are awesome. The food is excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant. I had a pork chop porterhouse I thought I was eating a steak it was so tender.

Vintana Wine + Dine. Wow, absolutley fantastic food and service. If you have not tried this restaurant you are missing out. Well worth the drive from San Diego, be sure to check out the bar and upstairs patio! Its amazing and so is the staff.

Nice addition to Escondido. I just read Bunny’s review and it’s pretty harsh! Sadly rudeness seems to be the norm in all upscale venues of late…however I was greeted with a very friendly staff. I think instead of focusing on the shopping center you should look at the beautiful view of the hills beyond…the interior design is lovely (remember this is Escondido we do not have any Rest with views or upscale decor) The food is good, not yet excepctional…the portions are a slight and could be slightly larger but they are adequate…HOWEVER this rest. exceeds any other within a 25 mile radius I enjoyed the experience and will go again and look forward to it! I am beyond thrilled to have an upscale experience and not have to drive to San Diego. Our table ordered ceviche, salmon salad and a sandwich for lunch…ceviche was wonderful, sandwich great, the salmon salad good but 5 pieces of roman lettuce with a 3 inch salmon. All were well prepared and tasty, I just feel 5 baby romaine lettuces leaves does not a salad make! Keep working on the kinks Vintana we are thrilled you are part of the community!

A Big Disappointment. Sorry I can’t agree with all the positive reviews. I wish Escondido was granted that magic dining establishment that met our needs but it’s not here. This was my 2nd dinner at Vintana. The first was very soon after opening and I chalked up the lack of service and boring menu to it being a new establishment and completely understood having to work out the kinks. Not the 2nd time around. My husband and I met our friends for dinner. We had a confirmed reservation for 5:30 PM but were called the day of with the news that our wait-list request for 7 PM had been confirmed. My friend and I received separate calls from the restaurant confirming the time change. When we arrived at our confirmed 7 PM time we were greeted by a very rude young lady who obviously had no prior restaurant experience. She advised us that we were wrong and that our confirmation was, in fact, for 7:15 so could we please move aside. Fifteen minutes, no big deal however, when you are treated in such an unprofessional manner it quickly becomes a big deal. We immediately asked to speak to a manager which did not happen for another 15 minutes. At that time we explained what had just transpired, were assured the person in question would be coached and then offered a free round of drinks. I would have much rather simply had a pleasant greeting and good meal. The food is over-hyped. I had the fish special along with my friend’s husband, which was OK, not anything to rave about but not unacceptable. My husband ordered a New York strip that was very tough and over-salted. My friend ordered the signature filet trio which was excellent after you scraped off the layer of sea salt that covered it. My husband is a physician and he commented that anyone with a blood pressure issue should probably use caution here. The location is somewhat questionable just off the I-15 overlooking a recently remodeled Mervyn’s location now Dick’s sporting goods. Not sure it retains it’s elegant feel being on the 3rd floor of a Lexus dealership, although very convenient for me if I actually wanted to return (I don’t) since the Mercedes dealership is right across the freeway and would be easy to get to during routine maintenance. If you are expecting fine dining you’ll have to continue your search. It’s a big disappointment because Vintana is owned by the same restaurant group that owns 333 Pacific in Oceanside that is one of our favorite places to dine. Wish I could offer up a more positive review but I didn’t want to compromise honesty.
