Delish! Every item our table ordered was good. The simple oregano slaw, the various burritos, the camarones diabla, and ESPECIALLY the pupusas! Tasty and if we lived here I truly believe this restaurant would be our ‘go to’ place. Super friendly and glad it’s a family owned establishment. Missing a .5 because we like really spicy salsa, but that’s a personal preference. Still, salsa tasted good. Will definitely be back next time we’re going thru town.

On June 21, 2015 I accidentally dropped my take-out food going out of Bugambilias in Fairfield, Ca. I skinned my knee and had to ask for minor first aid treatment from the staff, even after I showed them my injury of a skinned knee. Instead of offering to replace my food that had been lost, I was told that I needed to pay of the cost to replace it. I told them that I did not think that it was right, and was told that they did not drop my food. I refused to pay, and they refunded my money to quickly just get me out of the restaurant, so that the other customers could not hear what was going on. I was furious, and told them that it was not good customer service. They did not care, and was told that since I gotten my money back, I should be fine. I was not fine. They showed no concern over my lost food, and obviously only cared about the money. When I first arrived, they were all-smiles and going out of their way to take care of me, however; when I asked to have my food replaced, their masks came off. They become stone-faced, and did not care one bit about me as a person, or making things right as a customer. They were never rude. They simply did not care. I am 61 years old, and have never in my life seen where food or beverage was spilled, either in the restaurant or outside, that it was not replaced with paying again. This restaurant was insensitive, and greedy. I did not handle this in calm manner, and quite frankly, I simply do not care. Their attitude to me was appalling, apathetic, and emotionless. This type of blatant disregard for superior customer service warrants a reprimand.

Pupusas. A traditional Salvadoran dish made of a thick, handmade corn tortilla (made using masa de maz, a maize flour dough used in Latin American cuisine) that is usually filled with a blend cheese, cooked pork meat ground to a paste consistency, refried beans, or queso con loroco (loroco is a vine flower bud from Central America).I took my friend here for pupusas & we loved it. She’s 1/2 Salvadoran & grew up eating pupusas made by her grandmother, aunts & mother. She said these were every bit as good as Abuela made. I’d say that’s a rave review. We only tried the pupusas, so I can’t speak about the rest of the menu. The place is small & not fancy but it sure my friend happy to get a taste of her childhood.

Great cheap massive burrito place. My boyfriend’s family and i go there all the time. in fact, they go there at least once every two weeks. the burritos are BIIIIG and definitely worth the money. the place is clean. the food is great and cheap. i always get either the tacos, the pupusas, or the flautas. all are done fresh to order. a great place for older kids and familes.
