I’ve eaten here twice and I’ll continue eating here when I want Korean food. The food is good and is original Korean, not Americanized food. Hot stone is the best Korean restaurant in Solano county.
This was me and my friend’s first time at a Korean BBQ place since going vegan and I have to admit, I didn’t think were going to be able to eat anything here. We must’ve looked through the menu a few times because they had vegetarian options. My friend ordered the vegetable fried rice to play it safe, I don’t blame him. When it was brought out there were eggs in them and it had to be taken back. He had requested for his order not to have any eggs in them. I ordered rice noodles with tofu and vegetables in them, it was tasty. My friend and had no idea they provided unlimited appetizers, we probably would’ve shared one order. We had a few of their appetizers. The tofu with scallions was prob my favorite as well as the diced potatoes. It was def a feast considering we were with 12 other people. We found the server a bit rude when we told her about our dietary requests, we can’t help it that we don’t eat animal products. I believe that good service is based on the establishment being able to accomplish a request or at least offer an alternative. Anyway, I thought it was an experience to come here being vegan. I wouldn’t suggest it for other vegans as it seemed like a pain to have animal products including seafood sauce off certain dishes. I would suggest it to other people who enjoy Korean food. I’m just not very fond it, even when before I became vegan. I’m just glad I went with a party, it made the experience more tolerable.
