Worst experience ever. This place was AWEFUL! Everything about it was horrible, the service, the food and the environment. I guess I should have gotten a clue when my mother had to wipe off her silver wear. I ordered the won tons with cream cheese and found out that they had crab in them! That is a huge safety risk. I even double checked the menu and it only had the title won tons with cream cheese it said NOTHING about containing a common DEADLY allergen. When I informed my waitress that I could not eat the dish because it had crab she said its just the juice then never looked at me or said a word and simply picked the dish up and left with it. I didnt even get my soda until AFTER my mother had been served her meal (I had to wait even longer for mine). My mother rice was burnt and my supposed sesame chicken was dry and near inedible. It looked like cut up fried chicken strips with bbq sauce dumped on top. The waitress never checked to see how our food was in fact she seemed to be ignoring us in a restaurant that only had maybe 4 tables including ours. When it came time to pay the bill she flat out argued with myself and my mother when we didnt want to pay for what I couldnt eat. All she ever did is ignore us and argue with us. She showed no indication that she understood or cared that she could have killed someone. The male waiter did nothing to help the situation either. I will NEVER go there again and neither will anyone I knowthis was the worst and most unacceptable experience I have ever had. I understand mistakes and things do happen but, they should be handled appropriately. If you have any sort of allergy I would avoid going here, it was very hard to tell that my dish had crab juice and they obviously do not note allergens or even give an accurate tittle or description of their menu items. Eating her could be deadly!

Are you outta your mind?. Seriously. I am a Folsom resident and have eaten here many times. It is horrible. 1950’s food. Chung king noodles on the chow mein. I dread it when my friends suggest going here.Yes it is kitschy and the family are great and the service is terrific, but the food has not grown up any since the 60’s. they even have the huge egg rolls that have been gone forever from most restaurants.

You have to enjoy a piece of Folsom history! Your host and hostest are the finest people in Old Folsom! We have eaten here for years and have NEVER had a bad meal nor have we ever had any complaints about the service! You will certainly enjoy the experience and the meal!

RETRO CHEESINESS. First of all, the name is a classic. Where do you want to eat tonight? HOP SING PALACE! Once you’re inside, the place is so back-alley Chinatown retro you can’t help but love it. The place is family-owned, the portions are generous and the prices are more than fair. A special note…..even though it’s not the BEST Chinese food I’ve ever had (see Silver Dragon), they do feature dishes you may not find at other joints, and their version of KP Chicken is one of the best I’ve tried. Definitely worth a trip for the food and especially the atmosphere.

Great Locals Place. Besides the fact that people have been coming here for years…let’s support the mom and pop shop. The tacky but wonderful and old school interior takes you back a quadzillion years. Great dependable Chinese fare albeit old timey. Cheap, good and quick…not to mention sweet folks.

A far reaching effect. I have been a fan of Hop Sings Palace since my first visit. When mentioning to a friend from San Francisco that I lived in Folsom, his first question was if we had tried Hop Sing’s. The food is always freshly made and very tasty! I recommend getting the meals ment for groups since they offer a wide variety of plates. The group meal consists of: soup, pork fried rice, battered shrimp, chicken chowmein, sweat & sour pork, and cashew chicken (drinks included) for about $25 with loads of food to take home. It is a mom & pop run shop that is a must try when in the Folsom area. Basically the food is tasty, plentiful, and best of all fresh!
