Very disappointing. Our group ordered margaritas they were served over ice, not blended ( we were not asked). When my street tacos came to the table they were just meat and shells (nothing else). I sent it back (menu said onions and cilantro w/ lime). They came back corrected, and were ok! Would not recommend to anyone. Service was fair at best.
Go anywhere but here. The food was very low quality. The service was poor, our table rocked like a See-saw and was dirty. I don’t think they know what Mexican food is. I guess if I was drunk, sitting at the bar I might think the food was good. But if you want a nice meal this is not the place. My wife was sick most of the night.Never again!!! Even if it was free!!!
Will not be going back – service needs to improve – A LOT !!!!. Walked out the last time.. I have been here 4 or 5 times before this incident – always at lunch – On these visits I always ordered Chili Rellano (something that is not in the menu, but a friendly waiter always said that was not a problem – Thanks to him I had a good opinion of this place). But the last time my husband and I went there – around 3-4 p.m on a saturday – No one was there at front or anywhere near, so we went to the bar, asked the person cleaning up the bar if they were still open. She asked us to have a seat and some one will be there with us. We waited for 10-15 mins – with someone in uniform cleaning up near-by tables and a couple of employees chatting/having food at a near-by table. I was willing to wait but I could only take so much of the courtesy they extended to us – So got up and walked out. I think if the kitchen was closed, they should have told us upfront. Beware if you go there after peak hours.
I chose this restaurant because they have my ultimate favorite Mexican dish; pollo en crema. To my surprise it was nothing that I expected. Right off the bat I thought the chips smelled like plastic. They tasted like it too. Seemed that the fry oil was rancid and needed to be changed. My portion was generous but had the taste of non stick Pam spray. I didn’t have the stomach to eat half of it. My husband got a fajita quesedilla which also was generous portion but he also said that it tasted like non-stick spray. Too bad, I was hoping this would be a new addition to our favorites list.
Great Mexican food…and good atmosphere. Good bar! Friendly staff! Folsom should celebrate this restaurant. They MAKE downtown Folsom! You’ll see what I mean!
