My lover, Scott and I came here to celebrate and were very disappointed. The food was over priced and the quality was lacking. We could’ve had a better steak @ Chili’s for less $$$.
Doing Everthing Right So Far . . .. My 2nd visit to the Sutter Street Steakhouse and I am so glad that we now have a class operation doing business at a location convenient to the greater Folsom / El Dorado Hills / Granite Bay environs.The food is excellent, the service is very prompt and the wait staff are truly professional. This is the type of place that you will be proud to share with friends and business associates to. Another reviewer complained about the prices. Well, HELLO . . . . quality comes with a price tag and if that reviewer would rather eat at Cattlemens, then I suppose that would be a better fit for the budget-minded and the less discerning. Conversely, the Sutter Street Steakhouse is a true dinning experience — but not pretentious by any means. And it’s not just about steaks. They have a very attractive sea food and poultry section of their well-rounded menu — including daily specials.On both of my visits, I’ve have found the food quality and the presentation to be par excellence!The only area of improvement I would suggest is that they stay consistent with the background music. On my first visit, they were playing some very pleasant mellow jazz over the house audio system. On my 2nd trip, no background music — the lack thereof created a void in the over-all atmosphere in my opinion.Sutter Street Steakhouse is a class operation and I’m certain you will appreciate all they have to offer.PS: Happy hour at the bar will save you some serious $$ !
This place at the end of the day was too expensive for the service my family and I received. The steaks were just ok the bernaise sauce was actually really good and the creme brulee was good all in all it was a decent first experience but cattle mens would have sufficed.
Overpriced. Here is a steakhouse trying to be a Ruth Chris and provide Winco steaks for the same price
Enjoyable Evening. Had dinner there a while back. Wonderful atmosphere, pleasant service, and wonderful steaks! One of the guests had the fresh fish that was being offered that evening and she loved it as well. Good time had by all of us. We’ll be back, soon.

We are busy and sutter street steakhouseallowed us some great food and atmosphere.the staff was first class and attentive and the wedge salad was the best. the entre for me was the new york, the best i’ve had, anywhere.very professional, great food, classy but with a bit of social happening. see ya soon….
