I didn’t get a chance to stop by the night of the grand opening so I stopped by the day after to check out the donuts and see if they differed from most I’ve tried. The answer is yes and no. Well, yes for the taro filled at least.The donuts aren’t anything groundbreaking but that isn’t a bad thing in my opinion. Donuts are donuts and these donuts for the most part are good.I ordered three…Cookie Monster, taro filled and coconut flan. Of the three, I really enjoyed the coconut flan and shockingly the taro more than expected. I thought for sures the Cookie Monster donut would top the taro. I liked how the taro filled actually taste like taro and wasn’t overly sweet while the coconut flan had no filling but gave off a nice cool feel once you’ve reached the center to bite into the flan on top. Very delicious and creamy flan by the way.This place is a little far from me so I can’t say I’d drive back just to get donuts but would stop by again whenever I am in the area. The beefy nacho cheese croissant was sold out (as expected) and has been getting lots of praise so I’ll be giving that a try the next time I’m around that way.Visit Date 1/10/2016
