Best Breakfast in Fresno. The lamb shish kebab breakfast is the BEST. I have driven an hour out of my way to eat breakfast here. Sitting at the counter watching it all happen and taking in the aromas…perfect. Too bad I live in Seattle now.
Go Saturday for hayma. I ate at the original location with the line outside and men playing backgammon on the hood of a car. The food was fantastic and the owner moved it to a new location in the 80’s an it still features magnificent food. I love lamb and there is none better. When I lived in the valley an Armenian girlfriend acquainted me with hayma, the raw lamb with bulger wheat and spices that is eaten with flatbread. Some of the same waitress’ are still there and the family maintains the quality of the food. They also have many exotic specials, their borscht is great. Breakfast or lunch at this restaurant is a must for anyone liking this type of food.On my last trip the aroma from the spices in the hayma was sensual and my friends stuffed peppers looked beautiful. Don’t miss this it is what the taxi money is for. Just make sure you are at the location by Selland arena and not the copy on Blackstone Ave.

Good for lunch AND breakfast. Had a great breakfast. They have the standards: 2 eggs, potatoes & toast, as well as YUMMY french toast! Nice service. Great place for breakfast meetings. Lunch is also outstanding but I was so happy to hear they have breakfast too AND that it’s good!
