It was packed when we got there, but got a seat outside almost right away. We started with 3, put ended up with a party of 8 and they were very accommodating. The drinks and appetizers, especially, were so good. Their pita chips are ridiculously addicting. My pulled pork sandwich, not the best, but everyone else’s burgers looked great and I filled up on appetizers anyway. Good vibes too.
Read menu warnings. Based on the information on their website, we were looking forward to a hangout place with great food, and entertainment. Starving Artists offers a nice weather patio and a stage for live music, but the music only happens when performers choose to come play, unpaid by the venue. The night we were there, there wasn’t any music. We ignored the bird poop on our chairs, table, and menu to begin making our choices from the promising menu. We should have paid more attention to the strange menu warning: no exchanges, no refunds…and left before ordering. When we expressed that our selections did not taste good, we were told nothing was wrong with them as they are tasted before they were served to us. We were then told that it is against the law to walk out on a tab, something that had never crossed our minds, but led us to believe it happens to them often. Very disappointing experience. We paid the tab, left all our food uneaten, and went to a tried and true restaurant. I hope changes are made in the future.
