Spoon House is an adorable Japanese-Italian spaghetti house that has been there for ages. The restaurant is super cute and has an open kitchen so you can see them making your spaghetti! The food is always consistent, fresh, and delicious. Their menu is also very extensive with all sorts of spaghetti from bolognese to sea urchin.I’ve had most of the things on the menu at this point in my life but my favorite is still the bolognese (meat sauce) topped with sausage. sylviageatery.com

Japanese Spaghetti and Awesome Bread. There aren’t a whole lot of places that specialize in Japanese style spaghetti dishes, but Spoon House does it very well. I love the cod roe spaghetti with squid, butter and wakame. They also have traditional spaghetti dishes, such as bolognese and carbonara, although the carbonara uses wine and cream in addition to eggs and bacon. They have other California-influenced dishes like cold spaghetti with crab meat, avocado, sprouts, and vegetables, kind of like a California Roll with spaghetti instead of rice. Their bread is the best French bread in Los Angeles– crunchy and messy on the outside and fluffy and moist on the inside. Their iced tea is really good, because they serve it with sugar syrup that dissolves very nicely. Even if you prefer traditional Italian spaghetti dishes, you’ll find Spoon House delicious.
Japanese Spaghetti. A few friends of mine told me about this place in Gardena and I was going Japanese spaghetti??? So they took me to this little place a few years ago and I was highly impressed with the food. They have so many different types of spaghetti dishes; from the standard meat sauce to clam sauce. My favorite is the Rib Eye and Spaghetti combo.Definitely worth a try!!!
Must Stop everytim in Cali. My trips to Cali are never complete without hittin the spoon house! love the food, just wish it was a little bigger and more comfortable.
