The most important criteria for judging Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cuisine, IMHO, is the food freshness. Vegetables not only have to be fresh from the field, but also freshly cut and prepared – not prepared earlier in the day for a meal hours in the future. At Carousel, freshness is evident and celebrated. My party had several appetizers and everything tasted as if newly prepared for our meal. The hummos and muhammara were just right and house specialties. Throw in some kebabs and you have a feast

Every time I go to LA, I go to Carousel 2-3 times; one of my favourite restaurants in the world. The decor is lovely and the staff are quite friendly! After a lot many recommendations finally tried out the outlet, happens to be that this one serves some great dishes , listing the names THE HEALTH WATCHER and the Petite Sampler is something you would fill your tummy in.
Awesome place. The food is so fresh and delicious. One of the best mediterranean restaurant’s I’ve ever been to. Brought the family on a Friday night, they loved the entertainment. Service was excellent.
It doesn’t get better than this! Where do I begin? The hummus, muhammara and jalapeo lebni are the excellent mezze choices. Don’t miss the mante (dumplings) before you move on to the kebabs. The chicken breast kebab (with garlic sauce) and lule ground beef or tike beef kebab are my favorites. Awesome Bellydance show and entertainment on weekends.
Yogurt Kebab, WOW!. If you want reward yourself for ANY reason, the Carousel Yogurt Kebab is a grand prise. Pita chips lay on the plate as they are topped with 4 strips of Lula Kebab, who in turn are dressed with a special yogurt sauce. You should of course enjoy this dish after the tasty Fattoush salad and a few meza appetizers. You WILL sleep with a big smile on your face!!! :)))
My wife and I absolutely love Carousel. As Glendale residents we live to get out of the area to eat as much as possible & Carousel is the only place that keeps us close to home! The best!
