Disappointed in Service. Went to Damon’s last night prior to going to a performance at the Alex. Got there at 5:15 – plenty of time for a 7:30 show. There was very few people when we walked in – ordered relatively quickly – after 30 min our salads arrived and were practically thrown on the plates at us – 45 min later after repeated asking our dinner finally arrived. 1st time here – last time here – never again – food was great – service was worst ever
The tenderloin was absolutely amazing!!! Juicy, tender, melt in your mouth. Easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! The butterscotch pudding & the 50/50 orange cake are just two of the many yummy desserts Damon’s offers.

Great Spare Ribs. Today, I tried their barbeque. I have eaten in many eateries that purport to be good barbeque restaurants. Damon’s is not only a good steak house but the spare ribs that I ate just fell off the bone and was so tender. their special sauce had a zip to it but was not sweet. I have diabetes and such did not affect me at all.The service was wonderful. It is always hard to find a place to park, but one has to be patient because the ribs are worth waiting for. They have two very large smokers in the back next to the alley which do the trick. They smoke the spare ribs for tweleve hours.The price for 1/2 a rack of baby back ribs is not out of line. The baby back ribs that I ate tonight were the best that I have ever ate.
NOT THE SAME. If you want a steak that tough and never cooked the way you want it, this place if for you. Iceburg salad mixed at your table in a big bowl with a sneeze of dressing on it. This use to be a good restaurant back in the day. Don’t know what happened to it. Atmosphere is L.A. Tiki and high on the coolness scale. Best for having a smart cocktail and then moving on.
Did I mention in my review the horrible service? I feel like I’ve been waiting here forever26 Mar, 2011Really good food but horrible service. Haven’t seen my waitress since she took my order. It takes forever to get their attention and don’t even think about coming here during busy restaurant dinner hours because it can take up to two hours. Horribly impersonal service.. Leaving disappointed.
Great Prime Rib. I was amazed today on the 20oz prime rib cut that I got today over a friends 15oz. It was doubled the size and tasted oh so good. This place seems like its not crowded at times and it could be that there are so many other restaurants in the area that is the reason. Try the Mai Tai if you go here
