Fried chicken and ketchup from bananas.. Met up at max’s with my two best friends [may from 2nd grade and jeff from college]. they started making out in the hallway of the nest. horizontally. 5.5 years later, they got married. the hallway of the nest was and still is a magical place. may is filipino and jeff is white. the white man is open to trying different foods at least once. he is really into filipino food. the fried chicken is not heavily breaded and super crispy. terrific with the unrefrigerated banana ketchup. the bistek is really good. the sauce replaces the soy sauce on the rice so your endocrinologist is happy. my wife loved the pork adobo. i enjoy family style servings. and that is because i tend to pick the less tastier entree. everyone wins with family style. jeff brought up pukefest ’99 and the roadtrip to utah. i love it when my wife laughs uncontrollably. we also had the flan. it is a good thing when everyone fights for the last bite.

The food is good but the our last experience was horrible. We are regulars. We called them a day after we had dinner to ask if somebody turned over a credit card. The one who answered the phone, Trini was very rude. No hi or hello or how may I help you. All she said was they have no time to deal with it and no manager on duty. They lack customer service. No telephone manners at all.

We ordered several dishes and all were great, but give me some fried chicken, garlic rice and jufran and I’m set for days!

I really havent been a fan of filipino food. Until today. the beef was delicious, their signature dish, fried chicken– crispy and and juicy. plus the best halo-halo ever.
