Great restaurant! Best Chinese food we have ever had in Southern California. Service was very good, quickly greeted, seated as soon as possible (reservations HIGHLY recommended as this is a very popular restaurant), excellent drinks, but the food was outstanding. Eight of us each had a different dish and none of us could say which dish we liked the most – they were all outstanding. Highly recommended, just be advised that parking is very limited, therefore car pooling is recommended.
We really enjoyed the food when we ordered takeout. Later we went there and the atmosphere was pleasant. It was a bit crowded and the service wasn’t able to handle everyone’s orders in a timely fashion, otherwise it would’ve gotten an even higher ranking.
We like to eat in and take-out from this Chinese restaurant. The food is appealing Chinese cuisine for the American palate. We always order the crisp braised green beans and the tender, braised and pungent eggplant. The eggplant is very tender. The Mushu comes with four thin pancakes and a smokey, yet sweet Hoi Sin plum sauce. You can order vegetarian, shrimp, chicken, beef or bbq pork.My daughter enjoys the honey glazed chicken with orange zest. The chicken is coated and fried into agolden brown and glazed with a sweet orange infused sauce. The Beef and Broccoli is quite good too.Vegetarians have a variety of items that can have tofu added to the dish. This restaruant is known for its Chinese Chicken salad. It was created 45 years ago. Shredded roasted chicken is rubbed with aromatic herbs is tossed with almonmds. nutty delights. The hot and sour soup is Hot is aspicy and pungent blend of flavors Szechuan style. dineandtravel.wordpress.com
Great food. Nice portions. One dish was served Luke warm. Rice was over cooked. Last visit was much better. Drinks are expensive.
Good food, good service, pleasant athmosphere. The Shelby sweet and spicy chicken and Spicy garlic shrimp on a bed of spinach were both excellent. A great lunch for two with beverages costs around $30.
I thought this was a cafe….. I was surprised to see that this was a Chinese restaurant (lacked the typical red/gold decor). Very modern setting and the staff is attentive without being intrusive or pushy. Excellent lemonade…I wanted the waitress to leave the pitcher at the table!!! The lunch portions were enough to fill you up but not too huge to have leftovers.
Awesome food and environment
