This local BBQ spot is popular every night of the week. Their Southern starters include Deviled eggs, chili, Southern fried oysters, tots, and hush puppies with honey butter. There are 6 salads that include Cobb, Iceberg Wedge and a Chicken Caesar. There are 10 different BBQ sandwiches, three different types of burgers, American BBQ dinners with two sides, Combo platters, and some entrees that include meatloaf with mashed potatoes and collard greens, grilled salmon with white rice and spinach, and pork chop on hash browns. There are 13 sides that include Southern green beans, thick cut Kettle chips that are addictive, home style potato salad and Mac and cheese. Save room for a strawberry shortcake, fudge sundae and fresh fruit cobblers.Joe the server is a nice guy. I like to sit at the counter and watch the chefs and servers work in unison to get the plates out quickly. Park on the street or I the back lot. dineandtravel.wordpress.com
Family feast? Yes please!. I love Zeke’s. They have done their homework for a menu that boasts collard greens and hush puppies, two things that make me homesick for the south. My standard order includes baby backs and brisket, which I have always found to be perfectly cooked. The chicken is just chicken, and the mashed potatoes are starchy (fake?), but it is a small price to pay for a meat feast in a fun casual place with good service and an authentic menu.
