Great way to start a wine country vacation :). We had our first meal in California here after arriving from Calgary, Alberta, and were very pleased with the quality of the food, service and atmosphere. These guys have a wonderful patio in the back of the restaurant and a more lively patio at the front. The food was delicious, I had the halibut and it was cooked perfectly. Unfortunately we gorged on appetizers so had no room for dessert but from what i could see from other people’s orders it looked phenomenal as well 🙂

They make killer cocktails and have a very adventurous menu. It’s fantastic to try something you’ve had before with a twist. Or to try something you have never eaten before.

One of the best meals I have had in a while. The flavors are so complex in each dish and blend just right. Mmm I would check out their fixed price menu on Wednesdays.

We had an amazing dinner with wild, line-caught, Alaskan salmon. The goat cheese croquettes are tasty too. The service was fantastic and the decor is fresh.

Outstanding. A great place with fantastic food (and drinks) across the board. The offerings were consistently innovative and beautifully prepared. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a great, fun restaurant in downtown Healdsburg!

Cute name, cute place. Only had drinks but pleasant nonetheless.

A Good Start. As is often my custom, I took a seat at the bar and ordered an Old Portrero Manhattan. Without a doubt, one of the best I’ve had in a very long time. Not just a high quality local rye whiskey, but quality sweet vermouth, bitters, and in-house soaked cherries (not the Red Dye 5 kind). The bartenders were knowledgeable and cordial. The bar was kept very clean. When several glasses broke after some bottle slippage, the staff efficiently cleaned up, washed everything and still managed to serve drinks, shard free of course.A simple appetizer and hearty portion of goat cheese croquettes were a wonderful accompaniment to my Manhattan. The croquettes were served with a side of lavender honey and topped with lavender. Each croquette was warm and creamy on the inside and perfectly fried on the outside. Well done.I did eat one other item, but I would like to return to Barndiva again for an additional meal or two before I write a more complete review. This is simply a highlight of a good start to an evening and a perfect cocktail.
