Great find!. During Restaurant Week we were looking for something a little different, so we were delighted to find this terrific Portuguese restaurant in nearby Healdsburg. How many Portuguese restaurants do you usually find within a few miles of home? So we checked it out. The service was great and the food scrumptious — I had the bacalhau (cod — the Portuguese national dish, wonderfully prepared), and my wife the sea bass, which she loved. The wine list included a number of vintages from Portugal — how often do you see those?! — including a fabulous vinho verde (green, or young, wine), clean, crisp and slightly effervescent. A wonderfully refreshing accompaniment to the fish. The appetizer of cheese with fig marmalade served with a most unusual bread and ramekins of olives and almonds was a great start to the meal, which ended with a fine chocolate mousse. We highly recommend this restaurant, and we’ll be back — not once, but many times, to check out the many intriguing menu items we didn’t have the opportunity to try on our first visit.
