I loved it! I had a great dining experience. The greeting was friendly, the service was excellent and the food was superb. I cannot pronounce the foods I had much less spell them. But the filet was excellent, the scallops were great and the peanut butter bar for dessert — to die for. I would recommend Dry Creek Kitchen when visiting Healdsburg. But I wonder why anyone reads these posts. My experience won’t be the same as yours so go out and find what you like. For me, I liked the atmosphere, the service and the food.
The food was top notch, and the wait staff was excellent. I had the duck and the corn soup, which was truly exceptional. A companion raved about the tuna appetizer. Decor is lovely, and they allow you to BYOB of Sonoma wine. Recommended!
Not worth it. We ate here on our second night in Healdsburg and were not impressed. I had high hopes since the decor was fancy and the menu looked great, but most of the dishes we tried were mediocre and one was downright bad – the dessert I got was a tasteless foam log with some popcorn, supposedly a chocolate and caramel dish. It was fun people watching and they had a decent wine list, but for the price of the food the quality was just not there.
Fabulous tasting menu. The truffle infused mushroom soup was divine.
Outstanding dinner experience. We were met at the door by enthusiastic and welcoming staff, and taken immediately to our table. Our server, Richard, was attentive and efficient without being pretentious, knew the menu front to back and back to front, and made suitable recommendations for all courses. The restaurant was quiet, even though all the tables were full.We took in a fabulous bottle of merlot purchased at a tasting shop down the street from the restaurant. Dry Creek Kitchen supports the region’s wine industry with an extensive wine list of local vintages, and waives corkage fees for wines produced by Sonoma County vineyards (the staff joked that they doubled the fees for Napa Valley wines . . .) Also, in California, you are permitted to leave a restaurant with any unfinished wine, thus reducing the temptation to have a final glass to finish the bottle, then drive. For starters we chose the roasted celeriac soup and Sonoma county greens and for mains the roasted vegetable tian and Duroc pork loin. All plates were superbly presented, the food was fresh and flavorful. My wife had the Meyer lemon cheesecake which was superb and, on Richard’s recommendation, I chose the chocolate & peanut butter bar (dark chocolate marquis, peanut butter mousse, and chocolate sorbet). This was unabashedly decadent. In summary, an outstanding meal served by professional wait staff in a pleasant atmosphere.
My husband and I visited Sonoma for the first time. We had the opportunity to eat at Dry creek Kitchen. Ourr meal was Wonderful!! We had the 5 course tasting menu with the wine. Everything was amazing…from the service ..the presentation…and flavors. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!!! Yum!
What kind of restaurant doesn’t offer tea if you are part of a group – it is hot water and a tea bag
