We just happened to drive past on our way to the zoo and so, soo happy we did! Incredible food- highly recommend the Bugs Benny and the captain crunch blackberry pancake. Excellent service and atmosphere!! oh, my, I want to go back for lunch!!!
Best Breakfast in San Diego!. This is the absolute best in breakfast I’ve ever had. Manhole sized pancakes, superb french toast, excellent service and unassuming ambience. Prices are just right. I couldn’t be more enthusiastic in recommending it to everyone I know.

Must try. Not your typical breakfast place. I ordered eggs with a (1) pancake. When the pancake came out it was the size of a manhole cover. This not just for novelty either. It was great. Fluffy and cooked perfectly. The fruit, coffee and atmosphere was great for us. As visitors we asked out waiter if he could suggest where we should go next. He went above and beyond making suggestions about where to visit while in SD. The only bad part is that we didn’t get a chance to return and tell him thank you and that we loved the restaurant. We’d go back in a heartbeat if ever in SD again.
Had breakfast. Blueberry pancake big enough for 3 people, bacon done in deep fryer that tasted like everything it had fried for a day and was petrified, Folgers-esque coffee. Great service. Very friendly. Overall not bad but beware of deep fried bacon.
