Awesome restaurant with an interesting menu and a great atmosphere. We had a beef tagine (the best) a lamb tagine and the half chicken. I couldn’t decide what was best! (The beef won out). The place is owned by two brothers who are as friendly as can be and will regale you with stories of morocco! Big hit. It can be romantic or just fun. 5 stars!
One of my favorite spots in SD! I love the atmosphere here. I feel like once I step foot in Kous Kous, that I’ve been transported to the beautiful and exotic country of Morocco. Not that many places are able to do that with decor, but Moumen [The Owner] does an excellent job of doing that. So many great things on the menu, but I’ll name a few: Vanilla Custard, B’stila Rolls, Zaalouk, Harira Soup and the Ground Lamb Moroccan Sliders. Another great thing about Kous Kous is that they live music every other Wednesday @ 8pm, meatless Monday deals and great happy hour deals!! jazmenmarienoelani.com
This place is awesome! I was here with the Foodie Nerds from Active Lifestyle Nerds and we got beef tagine, chicken skewers, saffron Rice, and cous cous. The hot sauce here is really good, I love vinegary hot sauce. Also I forgot about the carrots, how could I forget about the carrots?! They are awesome! The ambiance here is pretty cool, and there are couches here, which is nice. It sounds like we had the Moroccan feast 1 without dessert. Also we had the Tomato & Cucumber Moroccan Salad and that was great as well. The side sauces were great as well. Just a warning there’s no cellphone reception here on some carriers. Just in case you needed to use your cellphone. The bread here comes with honey mustard.
This is the worst moroccan restaurant i ever tried. As a moroccan I can say the food is under average, not to mention that service is not good and does not corresponds to moroccan hospitality. Stay away from that place not worth to spend your money there.
Food is full of flavor, with decent portion size. Chicken Tagine was outstanding. It’s kinda hidden because it is just below street level but it is worth finding. They also have a well stocked bar which is a nice touch.
Amazing atmosphere and decor. they have Casablaca screening on the wall which is a nice touch. The wait staff are very knowledgable and offer great background info about each item. The food is fresh and each dish we ordered had its own unique flavor. The portions were a decent size where each item can feed 1-2 depending on hunger level. The prices are a bit high, but its the food and service are worth it. There are a few vegetarian options on the menu.
