We tried the buffet during dinner hours and I was really disappointed. The ‘Pakoras’ and ‘Tandoori chicken’ were cold. Their chutneys weren’t that good and their Chicken biryani was just okay. This would be a real disappointment for Indians but it would be a pretty decent restaurant for people who haven’t had Indian food a lot. The ambiance is okay and the attendants are polite and modest.Food-2.5/5Ambiance-3/5Service-3.5/5
We tried the buffet and it was very good food. I’ve had a lot of trouble finding a decent Indian restaurant in town and I think I found It. There are plenty of dishes on their a la carte menu and usually 4 veg, 4 non-veg, Few appz, rice, dal and 2 desserts for their buffet. Price is very rasonable. Only one down side for me was the atmosphere. It felt like a college cafetaria. Pay at the counter and get your own food and drinks from the fridge (even the beers you take yourself). The hostess/cashier is very nice and accomodated special requests which was great. Both the plain and garlic naans were hot and fresh and tasty. Buy 2 beers and get 1 free. Who can argue with that?
Poor Service. Service was bad. We were going to order at the register but we were given menus and asked to sit at any open table and what we wanted to drink. We stated water. After waiting 15+ minutes for our water and someone to take our order, I went back to the register and asked if we were to order at the register. The person stated no, she forgot we were there. Problem is the place is very small and only two other tables were used at 6:15 PM on Tuesday, June 12. Food was very good it you can get someone to wait on you. Food was delivered in bowls. Then we waited for the rice, then we waited for a plate and fork etc. Once the food was delivered with the plates and fork etc we were ignored, I had to return to the register to get a bill. Presented a coupon that offered 20% off menu item or reduction in Buffet price. The hostess asked which part of the coupon were we using. Since she served us our meals and not a buffet, we found her clueless. Her cell phone seemed to hold more importance than the customers.
Thumbs up!. It was our first time trying this place tonight and it was great! The food is delicious, good priced, and the staff was quite friendly. We ordered it for takeout and it was ready when they said it would be and the portions were huge.
Great place to eat…. I love this place. I been there plenty of time since this place is open in hillcrest. buffet and their menu items are really tasty too.. great price and great service.
Poor service. I was there twice in the last 15 days but experienced very poor service. The food was over by 700 pm; they took 15 minutes to fill one or two dishes but left many pots empty. THe newly cooked food was so tasteless. they did not even bother to offer a Nann. very poor show!
