This is a favourite of my friends that live in the area, and now I know why. Great restaurant in a good location, perfect size to be intimate yet not crowded, outstanding food and lots of choices, very friendly staff and management. This would be a favourite of mine if I lived here too
2017/08/14After we finished at Sea World in the morning, we headed cross town towards Balboa Park for the afternoon. Along the way we stopped at Taste of Thai for lunch. The restaurant was less than half full, so getting a table was not a problem. We decided to have their lunch specials, where you can choose a main course from a list of 20, and the meal includes soup, tossed green salad, a spring roll, and a fried wonton. SWMBO chose the Pad Thai Noodles with Chicken, and I had the Egg Plant with Chicken. At $9.55 each, they were huge meals that neither of us could finish. The soup of the day was based on a coconut milk broth with lots of mushrooms. I liked it, but SWMBO did not. Our main courses were good, but the was just too much, with all the other stuff. Service was polite and efficient.
