When you step through a Red door off of an alley in the heart of Toluca Lake, its like stepping back into the 1940s and 50s In a good way. Dark, cozy, friendly, and intimate best describes the interior of this surprising restaurant. The owner was there to greet us, and he is also an excellent chef the dinner was delicious ( I had the fillet mignon, my friend had the salmon), the bartender was fun and funny, and everyone in the establishment was friendly. One fun aspect is that on a series of TV monitors around the bar they play old classic movies. We will definitely go back.
