I absolutely love this place! I used to live across the street and this restaurant is what I miss the most about that apartment. The most romantic atmosphere: dimly lit with candles on every table, Dean Martin playing, in what is a small and clearly converted donut shop. And very reasonably priced for the quality and portions of the meals! The seafood linguine is the best thing on the menu, but I have loved everything I’ve ever tried there. The meatballs are huge and tasty, the pink sauce is perfect, and the tiramisu is heavenly. Always a good date night here 🙂

Great food, worth the wait. Normally for good Italian food me and italian-american friends drive to Fillipis Groto in SD, but if we don’t have time to make the trip we come to Basilico’s which is very much up to par with the best Italian restaurant in SoCal , selection is not that big but everything is good!
