Friendly, Gaudy, and Fab. Fred’s is a gaudy farrago of a place in which it is possible to have a lot of fun whilst eating a LOT of burrito (at a perfectly reasonable price). The service was swift and could not have been any friendlier. On the gloomy February evening when we were there the atmosphere was buzzy without being boisterous, but I imagine it is rather different at the height of summer. The clientele was youngish, but not exclusively so. The music is mostly eighties and nineties stuff (of the very highest quality). I’d recommend it for any night out with friends.
Tourist stop. With one waitress for 12 tables, something just wasn’t right. Slow service, sub-par food, are all signs this place doesn’t not really have to please the customer because they are mostly tourists that won’t return. If you are looking for a place with a good view and lot’s to drink then Fred’s might work out for you – but stay with the free chip’s and salsa – don’t stray into the menu.
Don’t go for the food…. This place is a mess….mediocre food, horrible service & filled w/ obnoxious drunks (on the two occasions I’ve eaten here). The view is nice though. BTW, on my last (& final) visit, their validation stamp was broken so the receptionist told us to just show the parking attendant our bill & our parkiing would be covered. WRONG! We were stuck paying several $ for parking.
Great view. Great atmosphere. That’s it. The food is so bad, I almost refused to pay for it. Everything smelled like dirty dish rags, even the plates the food came out on! Cleanliness aside, the food at Fred’s is an afterthought. It is prepared to be as cheap and as quick as possible without regard to taste.
Great view and great location, but the food is hit or miss. I’ve had a few really good dinners here and a few that have been not so great.

Perfect Location. I can’t say I have ever eaten food there, but you won’t find a better place to sit back and enjoy a beer on the patio. Perfect at sunset.
