I was getting my car serviced at JeepCare, and needed to pick up lunch. Issara came up and it was only a few streets away with reasonably priced lunch specials.The little restaurant is located in a strip mall off Gothard and Warner. I used Yelp’s Eat24 and placed my Pad Thai with chicken order for pick up. When I arrived, I had to wait maybe 15-20 minutes for my food. The place has a medley of tables and booth, and I was surprised it wasn’t busy. Perhaps it was a Monday? My Pad That lunch special came to $7.51 with tax. The portion for the To Go order was decent for 1 person. The Pad Thai was delicious, even after traveling 20 minutes to my office. I would say that 3-4 ounces of chicken breast strips was in my order, and for a $7 lunch special, I would say that’s pretty fair. Even the salad was decent with baby mixed greens, romaine lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, and cucumbers.Overall a good place for a decently priced lunch. We are so thankful that Issara has opened nearby. Not only is this the best Thai in HB, but it’s the cleanest and has some of the best hospitality that I’ve seen in a long time. We’ve only tried the Yellow Curry, Mixed Greens and Shrimp Roll so far….. Fantastic. The rest has to be good too.
