Can’t get any more authentic. If you have driven on Beach Blvd from the 405 to the PCH, you’ve probably passed this place dozens of times. I was one of those people that would see the sign but kept on driving until one day my hunger and curiosity made me stop. Glad I did. This place is very small. I think there are only 4-5 tables inside to sit. I usually go to Alerto’s or Alberto’s, depending on my route and if I am lazy and want drive thru service. Tacos Jerez has small street tacos (double soft corn tortilla) of various meats for only 99 cents. You’ll finish them in 3-4 bites. They take awhile to make your food because they don’t toss your order together from meats that have already been cooked. They cook the meats as you order, which explains why its so moist. Yesterday I ordered a bunch of Carne Asada tacos and burritos and saw them pull out fresh cuts of beef and threw them onto their griddle.
