When in L.A definitely try this place out. They have their version of Big Mac sauce, and it has a tangier taste, stil nice.I had the animal fries, it came with a dolop of the special sauce and cheese, it is so bad for you, but so nice.I also had the double cheese burger as well, I actually enjoyed it, I would compare it to a Wendys burger.Overall good combo for the price, and I was totally full by the end of it.
The In-N-Out Burger in Inglewood. We were recently in the West Los Angeles area, specifically Inglewood; so we decided to visit the In-N-Out Burger on 3411 W.Century Blvd. We had heard about this iconic burger joint on the Food Network, and my niece had it on her Bucket List of things to do and see in L.A.The In-N-Out Burger has a very simple menu . . . Hamburger, Cheeseburger, Double-Double, French Fries, Shakes, and Sodas. Since it was dinner time, I decided to order the Double-Double, Fries, and a large Soda. They actually have a decent burger with two large beef patties, two pieces of cheese, tomato, a slice of raw onion, and their secret sauce. At least someone said it was their secret blend of ingredients. The burger was pretty good, but in my opinion; nothing special. Since the burgers are grilled when you order, they did nott ask how we wanted our burgers. Maybe thats just a West Coast thing, unlike in the Midwest and the East Coast. The French Fries were average at best, and not even close in texture and taste to the fresh cut fries that you can order at another top burger joint . . . The Five Guys Burgers and Fries. On a side note, their shakes were excellent! My personal rating of the In-N-Out Burger would be B+ for their Double-Double Burger and A for their Shakes. Bottom line, its a good burger joint with plenty of history, around since 1948 in Southern California; but it cant compare with my favorite burgers . . . the Shamrock Burger in Utica, Michigan, and the Shake Shack in NYC.
If you havnt been to In ‘n’ Out stop reading reviews and get in line. If you’re from LA, especially South Central LA then you know this excellent burger joint conveys the common flavor of char grilled patties, thousand island and fresh crisp lettuce. I love it but there’s no need to wait so long for a cheeseburger that’s available almost anywhere in LA.
