Beyond shock of the high rating!. Call themselves a Mexican restaurant and I know they cater to the USC students,,however, the least they could do is provide fresh good Mexican food maybe the high rating is because the USC students like to hang out and drink margaritas and with enough drinks food is decent but the food is beyond horrible the salad is out of the bag that you buy at food4less for $0.99 and all the food not sold is reheated the following day and basically just over cooked leftovers my business is to build up to a level with consulting those restaurants that are failing to build up to a level with consulting services and it’s sad to say this restaurant is one of the worst one when it comes to the food . USC kids stop drinking margaritas and give the premise the true rating it deserves and that’s the only way they will improve if they even care about you

Great Hangout. Love love love La Barca. Great food, but best of all–great hang out spot. It’s the ultimate spot for USC student to chill with friends.Very loud interior and it’s hard to hear but then again, that’s what makes it such a good place to get pumped up for a night out. Great margaritas ($5) and great food at a good price ($6-15)
Usc mexican food. The restaurant has kinda tacky decor. there are tv’s where you can watch sports, which the usc students love. there’s a lot of usc students that go. the food is okay. i’ve tried their nachos, good. i think on tuesdays, the margaritas are cheaper. the prices are okay, higher for certain entrees, especially the seafood ones.
