This is more than just ramen, it is the real sea with all the bells and whistles you would want in any authentic ramen house. It helps it is next to and actually shares the dining area with a sushi place, and it makes for a great share and share outing. We loved the oxtail.
We don’t have good Ramen places on the east coast so when we go to west coast we try to make the best of the opportunity. We had stuffed jalapeno poppers which were very good and very different from the usual jalapeno poppers. For ramen we had the original and spicy premium hot which were both very good and very flavorful. The menu had many interesting options and would love to go back when we visit San Diego. foodiemuggles.com
Underwhelmed by the ramen bun burger, but felt called to try one after seeing this trend on Instagram. The rolls were amazing. The ramen was amazing. Wonderful concept; well worth the hour+ wait.
The best ramen I’ve ever had. You can usually tell as it was the only restaurant fir blocks that had a line outside………….,,,,…………………..
It was with great sadness that my wife and I learned of the closing of Plum Alley in Salt Lake City. Reportedly, its successor serves kickass martinis but where would we ever find fantastic R.A. ramen, cooked in the 20-hour stock, again? Have faith, grasshopper. The eleventh raman lama has been found right here in San Diego. Hurry down and order some tsukemen. This place gets crowded around lunch. Try coming down a bit early. The crowd is hipper than most Convoy establishments and the interior is cozy despite the exterior appearance.
Some really good food. There is something here to please almost everyone. There is a crepe and snowcone shop attached. The atmosphere is great and everything is priced amazing! Hormone free chicken!
