The restaurant has changed hands a couple of times in the last few years. Unfortunately, the gourmet style food went with the ownership. While there is still a moderate sized menu, it’s dominated by bar food and the quality matches. Good place for an after work beer.22 Nov, 2011Fantastic Food for a Resonable Price!. Darrell does an outstanding job producing gourmet quality food from this modest locale. Don’t let yourself be put off by the working class crowd because the food is not to be missed. Order something, anything really. It’s a sure bet you’re going to like it! The Pastrami Burger is the stuff of legends. I recently had the Chicken Marsala. While Darrell’s take isn’t what textbooks would be called traditional, the flavor was orgasmic. If you’re a true foodie or just in the mood for a great meal at a reasonable price, Highland Cafe is NOT to be missed.
