This place has great decor… That’s about it. The service was subpar and they weren’t busy. The food was bLand and over-cooked. The Bloody Mary was pathetic, to say the least. This is not the first time my husband and I have given this place a try. We will not be back.
A Good Place. I am surprised at the number of sour puss attitudes. is Seor while maybe not the best Mexican restaurant in Bakersfield, it is good and I disagree with the negative comments. I have never had a bad service experience and the food is good. I love the salsa, it is homemade, not at all ketchup based. I would like to see it spicier though. Very good chile verde and chile colorado, and the bartender makes excellent margaritas. So lighten up, it is a good restaurant. Never been disappointed.
Really Poor Service. My boyfriend and I thought we’d have dinner, sit by a west window at Si Senor Grill and watch the eclipse the 20th and enjoy dinner. We had to seat ourselves, then someone, who I guess works there, came over and pulled the blinds all the way down when we tried to tell him we wanted to watch the eclipse (language issue?).He did ask us if we wanted anything to drink. I said water, my boyfriend said a Negro Modello. He came back with them promptly and then left. Minutes went by. I watched an older couple seeminly lost as to what to do, as they’d finished their dinner before we got there and seemed to be waiting for the bill. A family came in, sat down near us. A different waiter came and asked them what they wanted to drink and brought them menus. We then realized we had been brought any menus. So my boyfriend walked up and got two of them. We looked at the menu for some time, watched a different waiter ask the family if they wanted something to drink, because no drinks had arrived yet. They said that they had ordered and were waiting. Mind you, this family came in 5-10 minutes after we’d been left dangling there. Then this same waiter now began to take there order. Do you see the problem? I then see the older couple get up and say something about guessing they’d get their bill up front. WE LEFT. My boyfriend put $4 on the counter and told them what awful service they provided. We won’t be back. And this is not the first time I’ve been in there to find this restaurant run so poorly, if it weren’t for their bars and all the drinkers in this town, they’d be out of business. Just pathetic.
First of all the chips and salsa are the best I get two refills everytime I go, and the salsa is not even close to tomato based it’s probably the best salsa, otherwise people wouldnt recommend it. It’s fresh made everyday. The food is homemade food who ever doesn’t like it doesn’t know what authentic Mexican food is. And for those who like like taco bell better you are probably on the over weight percentage of America. By far it is the best Mexican restaurant, when u go if you are over 21 I recommend the micheladas they are the best, and the parillada is also great it Serves two.
Greg g. SI SIGNOR is not a bad place as others said. to suggest the salsa is ketchup based is beyond a lie. the salsa is great. service is friendly even when it just gets busy at times. if it is so bad, why is business so good. this is a sister restaurant to LOMA LINDA on the east side? LOMA LINDA is a tradition in bakersfield. so you unhappy visitors to SI SIGNOR go buy some sour grapes to eat next time.
I didn’t enjoy this either
Gross! This place does not know anything about good Mexican food or service. The chips come from a bag and the salsa seems to be ketchup based. The main courses leave everything to be desired. If you miss school cafeteria food go eat here. Sadly Taco Bell has a better handle on good Mexican food than this place.
