Lunch Today. The best lunch from here today. I got the smothered meatloaf open faced sandwich, a huge salad, a co-worker got the fish and chips, another one got the blt sandwich. All of it was ready for pick up and had all the fixin’s in the bag. The meatloaf was kinda sweet, but a huge portion and lots of gravy and bread and mashed potatoes with fruit on the side, it was really good. The fish was probably one of the best in bakersfield I have had, and the salad was enough for two people. The BLT got rave reviews as well. Thanks Sugarmill. Also when I placed the order the girl on the phone was super freindly and polite. Thanks for that as well!
My wife and I love this place.For starters, it feels homey and not crowded. You can enjoy a conversation with your meal.They have great employees too – my coffee cup is never empty! Most importantly, the food is delicious and the portions are mas grande. We have shared a combo skillet for breakfast.All of these things make a great reason to make the drive out to North Chester.
I went here for breakfast this morning. I had the Chile Verde omelette with hash browns and biscuits and gravy…delicious!!! Both my kids had waffle and bacon off the kids menu. I snuck a few bites of waffle and it was delicious as well. Service was good, excellent place to eat.
GREAT HOME COOKING. The Prime Rib and Steak dinners are among the best in Bakersfield. Sunday’s home cooked and freshly carved Turkey dinners (with all the trimmings) and Monday’s Hot Turkey Sandwiches can’t be beat. An outstanding value!!
The catfish is the best in town
