Good food, reasonable prices – I see the negative reviews, and I say to each her own! I can’t really do spicy food, but I like Mexican – this paradox means I’m usually limited to a few menu items and forget the salsa… Here most dishes are mild and yet I do think they are flavorful. Not as greasy as other places either (OTB, Fred’s).
Downhill Mexican Way!. This one is a crapper (literally). Albondigas soup, $5.99 a very small bowl, water with lots of pepper and the most basic and disappointing meatballs this side of the border. Ultimate Chimichanga the worst mistake you can order. Tamales had a twist in their taste were left on the plate. Beans, Rice, supposedly staples of mexican food so badly made I felt like screaming out loud: What is this Crap?! Enchiladas as to give the name a bad reputation. Chips were the best because they do not make them there. They just have to heat them up. Their salsa an insult to salsas all around and yet this place thrives! Go figure! Do yourself a favor and avoid this place for eating here is the equivalent of a hospital dinner in disarray. I have to call them like I see them. I was so upset I almost took it on the server but fair play is mandatory so he got his approved 15%. No more no less. Don Jose is way past the point of no return, whomever is cooking in the back do not mind if the guacamole arrives past its prime and the sour cream is a glob no one bother to even smooth out. Everything about Don Jose shouts: Hey Cabron, what are you feeding us?! The prices are hight, the quality is extremely low. What is there to like? Maybe one of the hostesses who look like princess from the aztecs. Besides that even Del Taco or worst still, Taco Bell these days, will give this place a run for their money. Nasty south of the border stuff! Go back to the hacienda and learn how to cook. The area if perfect for them to validate their existence. I know they been there a long time so I am thinking is either the booze, happy hour gatherings, leisure world fan base lacking taste buds but this place gives mexican food a bad name. 1 Star because there are no Zeroes to give.

They serve food similar to Mexican food here, but without the spice, heat or interesting flavors.
